“Square hoops” with rounded corners are popular with counted thread embroiderers. The size of opening is better suited for sampler work than a round shaped hoop. The width is 5/16 inch.

I ordered this hoop on Wednesday the 1st October and it arrived on Friday the 3rd!! Suzie also sent a free gift of DMC and a lovely note. Absolutely excellent service!! Never used a Hardwicke Hoop before but have heard lots of good things about them and was so pleased to have found them here in the UK!! I’m looking forward to giving it a try. Thank you, Lorna. They are the best hoops. If I didn’t say in my note, there is a lightly stamped number on the inner and outer hoops. You need to match them up to put the rings together correctly 🙂🪡🙂
